Ok I just noticed they updated the article, now the dog is a "doberman pit bull mix" and they completely removed the part where it says they adopted the dog from FOHA in August and that it orginally came from PG where it had been impounded three times for being a stray.

    Now I'm more confused!

I'd hope that if this was a FOHA dog, you'd get the news, so you'd be able to know the whole story. I feel like when something like this happens, the rescue that adopted the dog out should know, because it went from them to someone's hands and this was the result (the END result, not what happened in-between because with the story changing, and it being what it is, we probably never will know the whole story).

  5. It won't load for me. Is it a video or an article? Could you quote the article if there is one for me so I can read it?

Someone in the comments sounds like they're from FOHA, and is claiming the dog was a douge de bordeaux.

edit: she also says the dog did not have a bite history.

There's something just odd about this story.

Not to mention that most of the story is about the animal control officers who weren't there and didn't do anything until after the event occurred.

The article now says it was a Dogue de Bordeaux. Because a Bordeaux and a Pit/Dobe mix look like such the same dog. Somehow, I'm taking everything that is in this article with a grain of salt...

We had a DDB mix, possibly with AB, and he was the only dog we had since I've been volunteering there that could be classified as a DDB mix. His name was Hooch. I used to play with him with his kong toy, and he'd let me take it right out of his mouth. Never saw any food aggression either.

One weird thing did happen once, when they had Hooch in the office. A staff member (really nice woman) was standing there holding a bag of dog food and suddenly Hooch lunged at her and ripped the bag open. Nobody knew why, whether he was going at the bag of food or at the staff member, and he never did anything like that before or since. It just kind of left everyone confused. I didn't see it happen, I was told about it after the fact.

If it was you, RIP sweet Hooch. :(
