I'm not familiar with the breed, but as far as health testing, could you ask for their vets number? He/she would give you a good idea as to the care and tests they do on their dogs.

Yes she did say she would give me that information if I do decide to buy a pup from them.

This is a red flag, telling you, you are dealing with not a reputable breeder. We are in a show breeding bubble. Better look among breeders of physically performing, functionally sound dogs.

Out of curiosity, what makes you determine a good or bad breeder? How did you get this impression from the one I have been talking with?

I think what Ivy said was the woman won't give out the vets name and phone number unless she was serious about buying. Maybe the breeder doesn't want everyone bothering her vet unless their are serious buyers. I would think the breeder would herself be able to tell you about the health screening if you ask her.

Yes she did answer all my questions, and she also offered to forward me the vet info if I wanted to call.
