OK. I am trying to write this in the least gross way. Please bear with me.
I took Hen on a walk Satuday, and she seemed to be fine. Peed, pooped within a few blocks. But after a while, she'd stop, squat, and nothing. I was a bit concerned. She scooted a bit after one attempt, and I figured maybe she'd gotten a bit constipated or something. Back home, I groomed up a bit, checked and there was nothing obvious but her anus was very red and sore-looking in one place. I thought she seemed a little tired, too. I figured maybe her stomach was upset, and decided not to give her any treats or people food for a day or so.
Sunday, I woke up and she'd thrown up two small pools of yellow bile. She's had Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis before, so whenever she throws up I tend to freak out. I decided to take away the kibble for a day, just in case, so she had nothing to eat Sunday. I was keeping a close watch on her, but she seemed to be peeing and pooping normally (on this one occasion, I feel a remote sympathy for those women who discuss their child's toilet training in restaurants) and around 11pm she went over to the plate covering her food bowl and knocked it off, so I let her eat. No vomiting overnight, and she seems fine.
Now, as I write this, I think, what is wrong with me? She's obviously just had a little upset stomach and it's getting better. But - anything that can remotely be cancer makes me lose my mind, and the second I saw how sore her rear looked, I thought of all sorts of nasty possibilities.
So, thanks for listening. Any advice, thoughts, would be appreciated. Oh, and she's spayed, so it's not a heat-related thing.
