I'm going to try to start drawing more (on top of everything else I'm doing lately).

Last commission to go (that I've heard back from), Tempie.

I actually love the way that's started of the two sisters.

Here's some pics from my figure drawing classes. (6 hours a week!)

This is a contour (no picking up the pencil)

I hate this one

Dog kept moving in this one so I just made it up. This lady was kind of crazy, lol!

I can't remember how long these drawings took. I think the max is 20 minutes or so.

ETA: This one, I don't think I ever showed but it was a long while ago. Done when I was stranded with just a computer.

You've got such a fabulous eye for structure and dimension.
(I really want to see that one of the 2 Paps finished!)

Thanks! I LOVE anatomy type drawings. Even if I draw a fantasy creature I want it to move the right way and all that. It's fascinating to me.

I'm really hoping this next year I can work on drawing humans mostly as they're so much harder than dogs or any other animal. I'm getting better but I still have a long ways to go. I can draw dogs pretty much without thinking and from memory and they generally look okay but humans take so much concentration from me. I do the figure drawing in three hour chunks and by the time it's done I'm pooped.

Eh, I've discovered that I don't enjoy commissions too much and that they seriously stress me out. Now if there was a way to paint whatever I want and then just sell it... ;)

Do me a favour. Draw, from YOUR mind, Peeta from Hunger Games. Your drawings of figures capture emotion and I have tried over and over to picture him. I would love to see how you see him.

These are great! Figure drawing (at least for me) triggered some serious forward motion in the rest of my work (not that I have half your talent)...I LOVE the very structured way that you see your figures and you have a fabulous grasp of anatomy!!!

I hope we will be seeing more soon? =)

Wow those are awesome. I really like some of them. The computer pap is really crisp and professional looking.

Figure drawing is about the best thing you can do I think to improve your skills. My first figure class I saw a ton of improvement and I still think it's helping a ton. Can never do too much figure drawing.

Thanks Dekka! I wish I had that program (Corel Draw) on my computer or I'd try more. I have Adobe Illustrator which I think once I figure it out it will be just as nice but I find it much harder to get crisp lines.
