Hi everyone. I joined over a year ago and hadn't been very active until recently, so I'm going to re-introduce myself and my girls.

I'm 32 and living in the general vicinity of hell (Phoenix, AZ). It's too hot for me and the girls, but that's another story. Basically the best way to sum me up is I'm one of those people who probably talks, posts, and generally is way too obsessed with her dogs. But I gather I'm in very good company here.

    On to the girls!

Lucy... Lulu is my "first born" and the first dog I have had in my adult life. We've been together since September 2007. She is approximately 6 and a half years old and around 42lbs. Lucy is the criminal mastermind of the household. She is a whippet/lab/god knows what mix... very agile and VERY smart. She's also quite neurotic and protective of me. She's the alpha dog of the family, is a counter surfer, trash hound, and stays slim and trim no matter what or how much she eats. She was also diagnosed with discoid Lupus before the age of 1, but is doing very well. She is not on any long term meds, and we manage flare ups as they happen.

Angel... The Piglet is my baby girl, and was my introduction to pit bulls. We found each other in October 2008. She is estimated to be 6 but I think she's probably a year or two older than that. She is a hefty 69lbs, and is currently on a diet to get back down to her high school weight of 60lbs. Angel is the muscle to the criminal duo. According to the rescue, she is a pit bull/basset hound mix... which means she's wide and stout. She's submissive to a comedic degree, and afraid of most unknown noises. She is not agile like her sister, but she has jaws of doom. I've lost many a shoe over the years. She currently is recovering from a knee injury.

Here's a recent-ish photo of us on a hike earlier this year (before Angel's knee injury and subsequent weight gain... she's a lot more flubby now).

I do so love my cat Jess. :p

I also share my home with this furry beast:

Bear is a 5 year old Maine Coon that I adopted last year from the humane society. He's an ass but I love him so very much. He is, without a doubt, the boss of the house... but don't tell Lucy.

And to round out the zoo, I have 4 ferrets (Loki, Asher, Juno, and Rufus) and 3 mice (Maisy, Nutmeg, and Cashew). I'll intro them in another post in the non-dog-pet board.
