her teeth are long... they could be to long...s o you may need to have them filed down... they can file their teeth. because it can hurt them to eat if their teeth are to long... but... that wouldnt keep her from drinking... hmmm.... definately ask about her drinking... and if she isnt losing weight then good... but water is mandatory no matter way hugs :D hope she gets better soon.

If you own a rabbit or you have owned one in the past, please help me answer these questions.

Ok first, my bunny , Gus, licks my g=fingers, legs, or arm, what does it mean when she licks me?
Also she is not playing alot like she use to, when I open her cage she goes to a corner and ducks down. She hasn't done this in awhile, and I haven't hurt her or anyone else. What could be wrong? Could she be sick? Cause she's not drinking as much. How can you tell if a bunny is sick? Other than taking them to the vet?
When a rabbit licks you like that it is their way of grooming you. As for the change in behavior/attitude remember rabbits vision is good when at a distant but their up close vision is not and it is frightening for a rabbit when they can not tell what it is that is coming towards them. Try a frozen bottle of water in the cage to help cool the rabbit down. Also is the rabbit indoors or out? If out you may want to also use a fan. It the heat rabbits tend to overheat a great deal. Try more hay, rabbits can never get enough. Also veggies that hold the water ie: green leaf lettuce, carrots, apples (but not to much as they have a high concentrate of sugar) try cilanto. Email me at [email protected] if you need more info :) I have 4 of my own :) Also you can cool them down a bit by dampening their ears with a cool cloth.

Thanks Yucka me too. I was scared she was gonna get sick. But can humans pass on the sick bug to animals? If so my bunny might get sick..cause I'm sick, but its just a sore throat and a bad stuffy nose!

MyDogsLoveMe my rabbit is indoors, so she gets the A/C and she don't really like veggies. But she's ok now, I'll try the frozen water bottle trick. Thanks
