Queen's puppies

Took Queen to vet on Sat... He checked her progress.... Everything is normal... The vet said She should go into labor on wed or thur... wed will be her 60 th day... and to expect at least 5 puppies... I didn't do an ultrasound but he did a manual feel in her tummy. I'm a very excited grandma to be... I have everything ready and waiting... I even took my vacation from work this week so I could be here with her for the entire week.... Just wanted to keep ya'll updated.... There'll will be pics of mom and puppies when she whelps....

Congratulations! I hope everything goes well and even better than expected! Im thinking shes having more than 5 pups for some strange reason. I say at least 7 (wow!)

Vet said wed or thur... , no puppies yet... But she is very ansy today... I'm thinking tonight.... Gosh she knows how to keep me worried... But mother nature knows best.... Called my vet on Friday... He said not to worry but I am a worry wort when in comes to my babies..... He said She will have them when she is ready..... I said ,but you said wed or thur, He just chuckled a little and said stop worrying she is fine.... I trust my vet though... I am just waiting impatiently..... Wanted to let ya'll know...

Was she bred naturally or AI? Was she bred multiple times or just once? All of this can make a difference in if they go a little longer than expected...

I am sure she's fine. Can't wait to hear what she has!!!

Bred naturally.... Twice, on a two day interval. If she took on the second breeding then she would be due sat to mon right.... Thanks show pug.

It's possible that even after the second breeding she didn't take right away. The semen can stay alive waiting for her to release eggs even days later.

No I can't take this week off too.. We have inventory coming and I have to work tue. thru sat... My normal days are wed. thru sat. but with inventory coming everything changes... I do have someone to come and be with her though... Don't want to leave her by herself....

Do you know anyone that could maybe stay with her when you're not there? Let you know if anything comes up? Or even just someone to stop in every once in a while?

Good luck, you need a back up she can not be alone, do you have a friend or someone that can stay with her and call you when something happens? Thye would need to be clued up on whelping
