A word of advice: Don't wait to long to get the cure or you might wind up like I did. I had puppy fever so badly and for so long, I needed a double dose of medicine and let me tell you...there are definitely side effects to that.

I'm reaaaaly having puppy want lately. Alas, no more critters for the time being, so I will just have to live vicariously through you....

There is a conventional medication that you can use for your dogs. Aspirin can be safely used in dogs.

I have it too! Two weeks until pups are due, though, so hopefully it's alleviated soon-ish. :p

I found the cure to puppy fever- Fable. :p She's almost 2 years old and I'm still not done being overwhelmed by her puppy antics, lol.

This! Watson is almost 18 months old and still often annoying enough that I have no desire for a puppy (and I even *like* the baby puppy phase). I can ship him over if you want.

Should go visit a store where they let you play with the puppies. :)

And then you'll have likely dragged and spread parvo all over your home, so I guess that would be an incentive not to actually get a puppy...

Abrams has been super good lately, so I've even started to think, "If I got another puppy, he'd have someone to play with all of the time!" Alas, no more pets that have to be mentioned to a landlord until Mike's service is over...don't want to be traveling cross country or out of the country with more than two four legged friends.

I do not have puppy fever right now. Feist is just now starting to be a bratty teenage puppy. Combined with me being sick, her not having got a lot of exercise, mental or physical, as I've been away for a couple days, and an influx of 'go live your life' hormones she's apparently received, she has turned into a devil spawn puppy today. If she weren't so cute she'd be dead hahaha.

I was like that with Lucy. Even though she was a hellraiser I ended up getting my 2 cats before she turned a year old. I wanted a puppy, but I had kitten fever, too!
But Fable. . .she was so freaking insane starting at about 8 months I used to cry. :p Aaand she honestly hasn't changed much since then. :rofl1:

I've done the double-puppy thing before and would totally do it again in a heartbeat. I love my Girls, they were a PAIN as pups/adolescent adults, but totally worth it. I'll be getting my next pup in three months or so. My youngest will be about 1 year by then so there'll be a bit of a gap between them, but he's a total idiot and I don't expect him to mature anytime soon.

Totally wanted a puppy while I was preggo. Now I've nicknamed my 4-month-old human baby "puppy," and I appreciate my older dogs more. LOL.

No puppies for me for a few years.
