Hi I am a new puppy owner, she's a mutt part spaniel and lab and who knows. She is 7 weeks and I brought her home on Tues night. She was at the Vet Thurs and all was well. She ate great on Thurs night, played for a few hours and then in her crate. She vomited in the crate overnight. Went right away when out for a walk, 2 poops were normal. Then she didn't touch breakfast. I wasnt too worried, but home for lunch, outside to pee no problem, and again wouldn't touch lunch. I called the Vet. Will bring her tomorrow if she still doesnt eat. Out of crate before 5, played a little but lethargic, hasn't barked all day or really made any noise. Did not eat dinner. Out a few times tonight peed every time and one kind of loose stool. Last out at nine and then back in house went to her crate place( I moved it closer to couch, thought maybe she was lonely) but when I put it back she went right in, door is still open. She will let me pet and play with her, still mouthing and tugging, but not too much energy. Any help or experience greatly appreciated. Would post of pic of Putter but don't know how yet. Thanks in advance

Hello Mary

Has puppy had any vaccinations? If so do you know what they were? Were they given by your vet or the previous owner? Also you did not mention if pup was from a shelter, pet store or a private party?

Sorry for all of the questions, I know that you are very concerned but she could be having a problem with the change to a new home, new food, new schedule etc or it could be something viral. If you have an appointment with the Vet tomorrow I would just try to keep her quiet tonite and make sure she is drinking some water or Pedilyte for this evening. If she has continued to vomit tonite you can give her some Kaopectate (sp) to help settle her stomach.

Good luck to you and her,
Bev Hale

Putters better

Thanks, she's better now, just took her out of the crate at 3:30, she peed and then wanted to play, which i did just a little cause I was so glad she looked liker her old self and when i put her back in crate she started barking and crying, music to my ears. I got her at a shelter, she had her first shots and deworming. After the first night all her stools were formed. The stool tests at her first vet check were all normal. Thanks again
