I'm lost on what to try next for Nomi with crate training. She is great as far as getting in her crate when told, etc.

She has always been very stubborn and it took me longer to get her potty trained than it did any other dog I've owned.

When the other dogs are in their crate and need out to go potty they will whine. She does not - she simply goes in her crate. If the door is left open to her crate while she is out in the house and she needs to go to the potty she will go in her crate.

I have the smallest crate I can find for her which is too big. We have a barrier in her crate that leaves enough room for her to be able to sit/lay length wise and that is it.

I haven't caught her in the act, but I think she potties (poops) with her butt out so that it falls on the carpet if possible.

Does anyone have any suggestions, because I am honestly about to lose my mind with this.

Thanks :)

I did try feeding her in the crate for a short time and it made no difference. She would even potty in the food bowl if left in the crate for too long...
