I have mild IBS, I have known this a LONG time but never actually spoken to a doctor about it until recently. I had a tummy bug and wasn't well, had some other stuff going on, so my other half made me a docs appt and took me to it (and sat there till I went it - I never go to the docs!!!!). Basically I started on the Yakult (this was not recommended), just because I'd had the tummy bug for a few days and thought it couldn't hurt. 2 weeks later, and I am noticing some really positive things. I won't go into too much detail, but things are much more normal. And I am nowhere NEAR as bloated. And I LOVE spicy food (much to my detriment) and I have eaten some fairy un-bland things without any noticeable differences at all. I don't look pregnant after I eat any more My stomach used to swell up, and be very tight and uncomfortable. I also used to get a lot of gas opcorn: I have read a lot of contradicting information, and I am very aware there is no evidence to suggest they work. But I can honestly say I have noticed a massive difference in a short space of time. The only thing I don't like is the amount of sugar in the Yakult, so I might try the sugar free. And it tastes weird, but I have got over that now.
