Vibes for Gypsy to feel better. ((((((HUGS))))))) a childhood dog is I think the strongest bond of all. I know you will make her as comfortable as possible and make the most out of all the time you have left.

Poor Gyp.. loads of vibes. My horse that I have had since I was a teenager (she is now 22) is showing signs of cushings. You are correct, it is soo hard to watch them decline. Hopefully she continues to respond to the herbs and you have her with you for a time longer.

Small Update for those wondering -

Gipsy is becoming weaker as the days go on. She hardly has any muscles left in her hind legs and has been stumbling frequently during walks. She sleeps alot too - which I guess is good, since she seems to be comfortable and not in any pain.
Unfortunatly she is starting to have some bald spots on her back - but she has a sweater to wear now as the weather is getting colder.
Today - for the first time - she didn't really want to go for her walk, so we went around the block very slowly and enjoyed the sun that way.

On a positive side note though - she is still a little piggy, and ended up picking all the ripe raspberries in our yard. With the result of having red smeared all over her fur - which looked a bit, erm, goory.

So all in all she's still comfortable and cheerful considering. I just hope that when her time comes, she can peacefully fall asleep and not be in any pain.

Thank you we snuggled for about an hour this morning before I picked my dad up from the airport. She loved it - and I was not allowed to leave her side.

Those are the eyes of a contented dog. Of a dog who knows she is much loved. That is the one positive with cushings, it doesn't seem to be a painful affliction. I am glad that you are able to spend time with her, and cherish the time you do have.
