HOW this amazing dog is still in the shelter is beyond me, honestly. He was the only dog that didn't jump up and yelp or bark at all. He saw us and sat and patiently waited for a treat. He sat when we said sit, he was very very calm and well-mannered.
I think the only issue they are having is that he is a Karelian Bear Dog and they want to make sure his new home has experience with a spitz breed of this nature. I do, but at the moment we just can't take in a dog.
I'm glad I finally got to meet him and see how gorgeous he is in person. But you can see that he is definitely in need of a lot more stimulation than just a ball thrown to him. I really hate to see so much potential in a cage (and obviously any other dog of course).
I really hope he gets a home soon. I've been posting him elsewhere as well, but haven't seen anyone who is willing, or knows anyone who is willing, to take on this breed.
