Thought some 'dog people' might have a better idea of what my grandfather's dog, Cinamon, is. She's about 9-10 years old. She showed up at our door 8 years ago and I asked "Can we keep her?!" and they let me.

She is very fat, I know. My grandfather isn't much on healthy food for her and he feeds a lot of table scraps. We're slowly working on it.

At first I thought Leonberger but she is not as huge as they seem to get. And the coloring is different. But I'm just really not sure what she could be. There are a few dogs around here that look similar to her.

I see golden in her shape and coat, and herding breed, probably Aussie, in the face.

I see a Collie breed in there. The conformation of her rear reminds me so much of my childhood companion a Border Collie GSD mix (RIP).

I think she's Chowder's long lost cousin! We've always guessed chow x golden retriever for him, but it's just a guess.

Oh wow. They do look a lot alike! That's really cool!

Thanks for the guesses, guys. I can see a mix of all of the breeds that were mentioned. I was curious because she is getting older and would like to get a head start on any possible breed-related problems she might have. Also to see how much longer we might have her.

She's such a good dog. We've never had a problem with her (that was HER fault. We've had a few ER visits because of what she's fed.) She's a very laid back dog that does NOT like the heat. She loves the snow and cooler weather. I've always loved her coloring and 10 year old me thought Cinnamon was the greatest name ever for a dog like her.
