So I put the fila stuff on hold for this one. It was one of those things that just all of a sudden need to get out.

Sorry for the crappiness of the scan. It wouldn't all fit in the scanner. The other side will have a mirror image of the border on the right. The flowers are Scottish wild primrose. This one will probably be done on masonite with oil paint and gold leaf. I'm really excited to get started on it. :)

Oh, crap. You had to go do two of my favorite things . . . Pit and Art Nouveau . . . . You know I'm going to be drooling over this one like I was the one of Strider, lol!

Thanks everyone! I'm hopeful this piece will go smoothly. So far the canvas and underpainting are together and it's almost done being primed. I just need to do some more layers of medium and sanding.

PW, I'd really like to get some work doing this, or just be able to sell the ones I make. My therapist suggested doing some like this one and putting them on cards to sell. Or selling prints. I'm really excited to work with the gold leaf too! Shiiiiiny. There are some super fancy schmancy dog boutiques in Seattle where we're moving that charge $200 for a dog bed... so I'm hoping to find some clientele in that crowd at some point. lol

You should absolutely be doing signed and numbered prints, as well as an open edition of some things, maybe in different sizes. Note cards would be perfect to add as you gain some capital.

Here's the base coat. It's not going to stay this pink all over. The greens will be adjusted a bit as well. I flipped the image too because I realized every single dog piece I've done so far has had dogs moving from left to right. lol

Romy I cannot say enough how much I love your style of artwork. If I ever get a painting done of my dogs, it is you I want to do it! :) Do you mind me asking what pricing is like and what options you give your clients for sizing and stuff? :)
