Hello there is a new pit bull site up for the avid fancier of the APBT. Historical stories, historical pictures, blogs, classifieds, videos and great company come check us out. You do have to be a registered member to enjoy the forums but shoudl be able to browse the other stuff no problem.

huh.
I'd LOVE to join, but I adopted my dog.
And while I'd NEVER EVER EVER bring my dog to a dog park, and I carry a breakstick with me on every walk because my dog does NOT like other dogs, I DID adopt her. And I do not like to label myself "pro-rescue", though, I do support rescue whole-heartedly, I would like to say I'm more "pro-responsible pit bull owner".
But I know how a lot of...old timers feel about pit bull rescue people/supporters.
But I do NOT have "blinders on" with this breed.
I do not take my dog here and there trying to socialize her with other dogs when I KNOW that is not safe (due to her dislike of other dogs).

But I'm also for promoting the GOOD image of these dogs.
The HONEST image.
These dogs deserve a lot more than what a lot/some of their owners give them credit for.

My pit bull IS a pet. She sleeps in my house (she's sleeping on my bed right now).
So, before I consider joining your forum, do you have room for the likes of pit bull owners like me?

Basically we don't want the people who can not accept that the breed has a history, the breeder basher and people who think that rescuing is the only way people should get a pit bull. There are many great people out there looking to promote and preserve the breed the way it was intended to be. Did that make sense? lol

Yes, it made sense.
I am pretty well aware that pit bulls have a history, and I one of my HUGEST pet peeves with this breed is when others do NOT want to recognize their history.

I am not anti-breeder.
I am anti-willy-nilly breeding, but in the end, I am also not going to tell someone what they can or cannot do with their dog(s).
