It'd be a lot more simple to list the pets I'd consider owning.

Dogs, cats, rats and horses. Thats all I have an interest in.

I should add that if I had enough money, I'd buy a little property and I wouldn't hesitate to own some pigs and cows. Not sure of the variety because I'm not familiar with them, but I especially love cows. I'd have to do a lot of research in order to determine if I was being realistic. I also have a soft spot for Clydesdales.

But that is all very unlikely.

Put me in the would have had anything as a kid camp (and did), but now I'm very picky camp!!

Happy with dogs. Might own a cat, but unlikely as OH hates them.... Maybe chickens one day... Maybe guinea pigs... I'd like a goat or 2 one day :)

I think I'm getting here. I would own anything and had a ton of pets as a child. Now... I've got Yoshi and I'm happy. I would like another rat or sugar glider but for now I think I'm good.

Dogs, of course, and fish. And maybe snakes. Horses would be interesting, I was only around them when I was little, I'd love to learn more about them.

Also wouldn't mind a pet lion, but that might be a little out there. :p

Oh I LOVE the skunk pictures!!! What a cutie!!!

Another passing thought kids...Once upon a time there was this lady who lived almost fifty years without owning a dog. Always at least 1 cat, but dogs were needy, smelly, drooly, messy, bitey...<sounds like a human toddler don't it?> Fine for other people certainly and fun to visit but she wasn't going to ever live with one.

Then the lady's human kids flew the nest, she wanted someone to walk with...and bathe...and fuss over. The cats all sat in their individual windows waiting for the food dish to refill. Her hubby was glued to the TV...she had seen Petlooker or Pet something as a way to search for animals, maybe she could just look...

And you know the end of the fable, lady and dog met and fell in love and trotted off into the sunset together. The moral of the story...even if you can't feature yourself with a cat or chipmunk or parrot...hey, never say never...sometimes you just need to meet the right critter.

Right now I have dogs, a reptile, and a fish as 'pets' but we have other animals (cattle, sheep) that I don't consider pets but which I enjoy keeping.

I'm not a huge fan of exotics, and don't tend to acquire non-domesticated animals unless I feel that I have a good setup for them (ie: my Tokay has a whole closet modified to her specifications while I'm home). Despite this, I think the only animal that I would flat-out refuse to own would be a snake, if only because I couldn't handle the feedings.

I'm pretty happy with just dogs. I might consider a cat (though I really do prefer dogs). Rabbits are ok as well. (esp. the ones with floppy ears. :p )

Other than that, I wouldn't really want any animals.

Will own:
Dogs
Fish (freshwater; I have Endler's and some killifish and cory cats, want a betta)
Snakes (I have a Kenyan sand boa, and I want a corn snake)
Chickens
Finches (if I ever get an aviary set up)

Will not own:
Large parrots
Most small mammals (rabbits maybe, if I ever get to meet a ferret, they appeal to me too)
Primates (they freak me out)
Pigs
Wild canines
Large wild mammals

Maybe list:
Cats
Goats

Everything else, I don't have much of an opinion on.
