Pet's Pet Peeves??

Precious' Pet Peeves:
1. When she is inside in her cage and she can't get to Oreo.
2. When Spud tries to eat in front of her without offering to share. How dare he?!

Roxie Mae's Pet Peeves:
1. Being confined to any one place for more than a whopping 2 seconds.
2. Doing what she is told.
3. When anyone, not just Spud, eats in front of her without offering to share.

Oreo's Pet Peeves:
1. Us trying to have privacy in the restroom and not allowing her to come and talk to us.
2. Mixing her wet food in her dry food. She is sort of like a spoiled child that doesn't want their mashed potatoes and green beans touching on their plate.
3. Other cats. Definetely only a people cat, this is her domain... She only allows Roxie to sleep here. Oreo is a perfect cat, loves to lie in our lap, but Heaven forbid another cat near her people!!! Not spoiled, just a Rotten Princess.

Spud's Pet Peeves:
1. Being groomed.
2. When Precious pays him no attention.
3. When after we sat the cage up to bring them in at night, we sometimes ask him to beg before we bring him in. Really cute! We let him in nomatter what, we just love seeing the oversized teddy bear beg.(he is a Pekingnese/Shih-Tzu, just don't have any pics yet )

when the teenagers are on his sofa
when he has asked more than once to go out and nobody is getting up.
when i am giving mary sugars
Mary.....when she greets someone and they shut the door in her face without
even seeing her
when Victor gets to go somewhere and she doens't
when people yell she will sit in the bathtub
when teenagers are on her sofa
when people pay attention to Victor and forget she is there too

Colby's Pet Peeves:

1.) Baths. Why the heck do we need those anyways? She'll try to get away any chance she gets.

2.) Not getting a walk. A game of fetch is all well and good, but she wants a nice long run in the field.

3.) Not being able to sleep on the human furniture. The big fluffy pillows in the crates are nice, but the couch is even better.

4.) Cats and squirrels. Stupid things like to taunt doggies.


May's Pet Peeves:

1.) Baths...she'll just find something to roll in again anyways .

2.) When other animals get attention come on, pet the cute, adorable, fuzzy, Lab. She'll give you kisses!

3.) Not getting enough exercise.

4.) Not being allowed to cuddle on the couch or eat people food.

5.) Other dogs annoying her. She is not just May, she is Queen May.


Tippy's Pet Peeves:

1.) Not being petted when she wants to be. She is Princess here.

2.) When it's not possible to take a looooooooooooooooooooong walk.

3.) Baths--whoever invented them was just plain stupid.

4.) When the other dogs get treats and she doesn't (which happens very rarely). She deserves one too--she's cute and obedient.

5.) People mistaking her happy sounds as growling.

My guys must be the exception..they adore their baths...get sleepy and it is so funny to see them begin to nod their heads. mary especially likes a good long soak and when the water is pouring from the faucet..she curls up under it and lets the water cascade down the back of her neck and shoulders. I have a detachable shower head that is awesome for rinsing dogs..she likes that run up and down her back..Victor even likes it if you hold it an inch from his cheeks right below his eyes..he likes it on his neck too!
I pull the shower curtain when the water has drained and fix the blow dryer in the corner so the tub has hot air blowing around inside of it..and they like to lay there til they are dry! They would be horrified at a cold hose bath! my neighbor dog's pet peeve..the cold hose they bathe him with in the back yard!

walkers- being put in my room when we have strange greyhounds in our house, being is his crate when i run in to go to the bathroom when i run into the house from school, not being able to go with me everywhere, getting locked out of the bathroom when i take a shower (like i said not bein able to be with me), having to be able to walk mannerly,having to take a shower (the only time he doesnt like to be with me)

- ANYTHING involving a spray bottle

Bimmer
- When Shiva and/or Kharma push past him without asking first (they don't do it very often, lol!)
- When Kharma tries to get his spot on his big shaggy rug at the foot of the bed (Shiva doesn't even try!)
- When I tell him to keep Kharma out of trouble when I leave the house.
- Not being able to leave his food and go back to graze as he wants without laying in the hallway to guard it from the girls
- When Chester gets a little too chummy with "his girls" - especially Kharma
All in all, Bimmer's pretty affable, and doesn't indulge in pettiness. He's a very good boy!

1. Why in the world won't mom play with me when I NIP her??? I think I'll cry instead!! (Yes, he is doing this as we speak...)
2. This dang leash!! I don't need a leash, anyway!! I think I'll try to BITE it off!!
3. Why do I keep getting my toy put on my mouth ever time I try to chew the coffee table??? If I wanted my toy right now, I would be chewing my toy, DUH!

Okay, that can't just be a coincidence! How did you train your dogs to love bathes like that??? I try to bathe Bailey in the bathtub with nice warm water, and just keeps trying to get out. Even when I got in WITH him, he just wanted to hide his head on my hip! I would like to teach him to love bath time...

if it were just mary..i would understand. i use to play motor boat motor boat with them when they were wee babies...they would float on my palm.but i remember the night of Vic's first bath and it was no joy..now you should see him..actually i did take pics just haven't had them developed. i washed Jims dogs too once a week and Annie..took a bit..i sang her baby songs and massaged her as i rubbed the soapy water tru her fur..after that she ran to the tub when i showed up. so i must be doing something right. Taty did fall asleep once her nose dunked right into the water..oh taty was just a love. I had a gallon jug i had cut the top off but still had the handle for rinsing..i was running the water slowly down her back..she started to nod..and dunk.

Princess

number 1: taking a bath.
Having a fence between her and her friends.
Required supervision outside due to her breaking and entering, she has to have very limited time outside.
Company not playing with her or showing any interest in the toys she brings them
People parking in front of our house but not coming to our house! She'll look out the window and bark at the parked car!
The cats refusal to play with her
Being left home when we are going somewhere she cant go
Trying to play fetch with her when she wants to play tug of war

She and Victor share that last one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!He's not allowed to play tug anymore..he is just too intense on winning.

Thats why we stopped the tug of war. She has alot of strength and is going to win even if she has to lay on her back and push her legs agaisnt ours, I laugh because its like she's trying to cheat! We make her drop it then toss it. She'll run to get it 3 or 4 times then when she knows we wont play tug of war she makes this complaining noise and goes off to lay down. She's just to strong.

when vic turns loose.it is to pounce for a better grip..hand or no hand around it! We do not do that game anymore..frisbee effects him the same way..the day he jumped up twisted and came down on the back of his neck was the day i put the frsibees away..we will stick with balls. He will retrieve forever but no one is to throw it until he drops it and backs away..and sits..i had to teach Hyia to put her foot on the ball first and say NO..then reach down and get the ball.

Clapping - drives him mad

Door to door salesmen

Alain- man who lives down the road! Have no idea why! But he never washes so maybe that's it, plus he rides a moped with a trailer attached full of milk churns with water in them. Oh yeah and he's like a living gnome!

Thunder - scares him

Fireworks - ditto

1) Taking baths (he hates those with a passion).
2) Not devoting every second of my life to giving him attention.
3) When he's taking a nap and I stroke his back, he moans and moves away. lol
