I trimmed Mav once. I decided it was gross since it was always wet with pee. Steve was so traumitized by me going after Mav with a pair of scissors lol.

I am told that to remove the hair at the end to the exit of my boy's penis will cause his urine to spray on his belly, do you all cut the hair off or leave it? I noticed some of your dogs who were in porn shots on my other topic LMFAO had no hair, was that naturally bald or did you cut it? Mine has a long strip of hair which I am not sure if to remove it or not.

If I remember correctly your dog is just a puppy? At some point he will lose that long wispy hair around his penis but it doesn't hurt to trim it off because it can harbor bacteria and cause infections. I have been a dog groomer for over 12 years and they don't call it a sanitary clip on hairy dog for nothing . FYI, a sanitary clip is cleaning and trimming all the hair on the underside (penis included) to reduce matting and urinating on themselves .
