OMG, out of all the possible dogs people make live outside, especially with the temps right now, a BOSTON TERRIER is one of the worst!

Yup, a boston terrier. Small, thin fur. short snout. Living outside while it's snowing, raining, windy and cold! Without ANY cover! No dog house, or porch, or anything!

Oh, but it's ok.......she has a very large fenced in yard. O_O WTF!

Yup. A OK even though this small, short nosed, thin haired breed is no doubt now wet and freezing. It's ok though.

    er.

    :( that's sad...

... I've never been more tempted to steal than when winter rolls around and you litterally see dogs shaking outside, 24/7 . . . :(

    :(

    That is horrible :(

Our neighbors have a Yellow Lab that stays in the backyard rain/shine/snow. I hear HIM howl in the cold sometimes, so I can just imagine that poor little BT out there.

Leaving aside the obvious stupidity and cruelty . . . why the hell would you get a Boston Terrier . . a toy breed . . . and keep it in the yard? What's the point? That's just bizzare.

Call AC on them because that is downright torture! I forgot Joey's coat when I took him to my parents for Thanksgiving. We decided to take the dogs for a walk and I thought it might be okay, since it hadn't quite gotten that cold out, for Joey to come without his coat. We weren't out there for more then 10 minutes when he started to shiver so badly he threw up! Needless to say, I tucked him in my sweatshirt and went home as fast as I could. He was just fine when I got him warmed up, but it was definitely an important lesson to me. Joey and most bostons I've heard of have very very little hair on their chest and tummies. It SOO easy for them to get cold. I'd try to call somebody!

She said, she got it as a puppy and now that it's older it just shits and pee's everywhere. And when no one is around it chews everything. I told her it was bored, needed to be walked, needed toys, and needed to be taught how to go outside. She said, "yeah, true. But no one has time so it's staying outside" I told her she might as well just give it up then, but she said no way. It was their gaurd dog. O_O

Call the nearest SPCA or humane law enforcement and turn that idiot in.
In most states it is illegal to leave a dog without shelter, water, and food.

Again, got name, but NO ADRESS. I don't even know where she lives, what city or anything. Hell........I don't even know here last name! I know her first name, but that's it. How do I turn her in with only her first name?

Do you know of this dog through a friend or something? Ask them if they know the address. If you have a first and last name or phone number, try googling it.

ACooper, you should turn your neighbor in too. I wouldn't care about being "neighborly" if they treated dogs like that.

    People infuriate me.

On Thanksgiving, as my dad, brother, and I were leaving my grandma's house... we heard some really awful noises. And then we realized it was the neighbor's DOG. I swear the noises it was making did not sound like it could even be from this planet. I'm not sure what kind of dog it was... but it was in this little outdoor kennel thing (which didn't make sense... the yard was fenced in, they could have at LEAST given him the space). It was super cold and there was a fresh blanket of snow from the night before... poor guy. :( My brother walked up to their fence and said he heard another dog barking inside the house, which just made me even more upset that they're deciding to treat just one of their dogs like crap for no reaosn.

Then there are my neighbors. They have a lab and a border collie. Those dogs are ALWAYS outside. And they sit beside the door and howl, and howl, and howl. Doesn't matter what the weather is like... if it's raining, the dogs sleep in the mud. My mom has called them a few times to "remind" them their dogs are outside, and they just respond with "oh we must have forgotten" but they still don't let the dogs in.

    Grrr.

Having had to keep my boys outside before I moved out I can assure you dogs that are met with the amount of activity, mental stimulation, and eat at the same time every day are almost fully housetrained. My dogs will pee/poop in the house if I do not get up and let them out at a certain time. They also don't eat couches :D

Why get a dog if it is going to live outside in poor conditions. You can have a happy outside dog if it has proper housing and you do stuff with it but banishing a dog outback is no way for any dog to live. If the dog is being neglected and you can get an address and report them do it. That dog deserves so much more then what he's getting.
