Bad news is it was even uglier than the match we did in the rain a couple of weeks ago. We scored a 71 (out of a possible 100). I thought being the next to last in was going to work in our favor. I'd better guess again- Caleb had too long to wait between when I walked the course and our turn, so his little yellow brain turned off of "work" mode and back into "oh look another dog walked here, must sniff" mode. :lol-sign: He was so wound up when I was doing the walk thru I thought he'd be "On". Oh well. We had fun none the less.

Oh yeah- I guess you'd like to hear the good news. It's kind of two part. Part one is we got a qualifing score towards our Rally Novice title- barely (you need at least a 70 for a Q). Part two is, are you ready for this- we placed 3rd! :yikes: We were tied for 3rd place with a Pap, but we did the course faster. OK, somehow I failed to realize only 4 of the 8 dogs entered showed up, but I really didn't expect to place.

Congrats on the Q! At the end of the day, it's all about the green ribbon (or whatever color if you're not doing AKC Rally)... :p

That's so true. Actually, what's even more important, at least to me, is having fun. And we did. I just laughed when we went back to my husband and said, "It's a good thing I love him." :lol-sign:)

Congrats on qualifying! Gavroche's first run was a 79, and he got 3rd with that score too. It all depends on the competition. Sometimes it seems ALL the dogs have an off day at the same time ;)

Actually, what's even more important, at least to me, is having fun.

Congratulations to both of you! And you're right; having fun is more important than getting ribbons.
