So my guess for him is pointer/hound, probably a small hound too. He's not that big, about 7 months old, and I'll get a height and weight on him tomorrow. We were talking to this guy at the park who had his pointer there, and it made it obvious that he isn't full, not at all, but the guy asked us if he had pointer in him, so I say its a pretty good guess.

He has funky shaped eyes too. And he sits weird. He's an odd dog.

He looks a lot like a dog Ty that used to live about a mile from me. Mom was a Pointer and dad was supposedly a Harrier or big Beagle. It had a little tan on it, but was pretty close to your dog otherwise. He was a real runner, and an escape artist. He calmed down as he got older, not taking off, but he was a good mover until his hips went out at 13. One night I put my dog outside and after about 10 minutes, he wanted in. I opened the door and my dog came in, and Ty did too, at about 30 MPH! Scared the hell out of me. I had to call his people up and take him home. It was like 3AM, and they had no idea he had jumped out of the yard, as they thought it was "escape proof". He jumped onto the doghouse, onto the roof, and jumped down onto the front yard, the same method my Lab did about 10 years before that.

He and my dog went about a week apart, both from cancer.

I guess its hard to see in the pictures, but he has some really light brown markings on his cheeks and eyebrows. I'm gonna guess as he gets older it will spread a little more. I agree with your guess on beagle/harrier. I guess that mix would kind of make sense? Some hunter let his dogs get together perhaps.
