I'll be performing at a large-ish charity gig at the end of next month (will post date once confirmed) - As I'm singing I've decided to do a medley of pop/rock/motown songs from the 60's and early 70's - after some deliberation with my musical accompanist I've made the following selections (will be performed in order). Would love to hear any thoughts good or bad on my choices =). I realize it's quite scattered but musically it works out really well thanks to my accompanist and I think they sort of flow into each other nicely too... The whole medley will last about half an hour.
*
Part 1:
To Sir with Love
You've got a Friend
All I have to do is dream
Crying in the rain
As tears go by
There's a kind of hush
A time for us
Killing me softly with his song
Close to you
Don't go changing
Leaving on a jetplane
Sealed with a kiss
Don't forget to remember me
Ain't no sunshine
Angel of the morning
Outro/Intro to next part
Part 2:
Y.M.C.A
Please Mr Postman
Black is Black
I love you (but the words won't come)
San Francisco (Be sure to wear...)
Yellow River
Yesterday
He's so fine (The Chiffons)
If not for you
Touch me in the morning
Love will keep us together
I can't stop loving you
You're so vain
