With a rusted decoration you could sya you're going for antique style or rustic or something.

im gonna marry Usher, decorate the house all rustic (like a log cabin) and all will be good...

but wait, then wouldnt I just be Usher's decoration?

Sada, that picture has sold me.. what a lovely decoration you have!!! But you know, after seeing him, I have to wonder... if you're getting rid of such a beautiful ornament, is there something wrong with it? Besides simply being a decoration, of course.

Eh.. probably pretty far away. Washington DC area.
Yea I think the shipping would be too much. I live in Iowa.

It's just a decoration.

Ok, we're not in the stone age.

Dog's aren't just decorations, has she ever heard of "physiological therapy"? That's what our decoration does...

I do have a slightly serious question for OC, though. I went back and read the post carefully (something I hardly ever do, I know)... if you don't call non-working dogs "fake," what do you call them? You say working dogs are real... and non-working dogs are the opposite of working dogs... Dictionary.com defines the antonyms of "real" as:

"false, imaginary, imitation, unreal."

and the antonyms of "fake" as:

"authentic, bona fide, genuine, original, real."

As far as the words you're using go, I don't see that you have much choice of a definition for the non-working dog.

See, I told you she sits there and looks pretty very nicely. Matches french decor, but probably any kind of European type house. Not sure if she'd go with a Southwestern look.

Nonsense Laurelin--ANYTHING can go with a southwestern-style house if put a bandanna and/or cowboy hat on it! :D

If you shove it in hard enough, it'll fit. I mean, your other option is shipping it via train, and I think that method of transport costs less.

I love all dogs. With purebreds, I do prefer to see breeders breeding dogs who are functional in their original purpose, unless it's something cruel (like dog fighting) or outdated (like labradors bred to bring fishermen's nets in) or unless their original purpose was companionship (in which case show breeders are fulfilling their original purpose, so hoorah!) It saddens me when herding breeds lose their instincts, especially border collies.

I don't think any less of dogs who don't serve their original "purpose" any more, but I do prefer breeders who breed for the original purpose, if that makes sense. ;)
