I feel so very horrible. I've told you I got Jose` and Chulita from a byb...It's been years. Chuli is 9 and Jose` is 7. It was a mid life crisis...a near impulse buy. I didn't even have Internet yet and just didn't know what I know now. Chulita is healthy. Jose` has luxating patellas.

This woman didn't have that many dogs, but a few different small breeds. The dogs seemed well cared for....pretty much. Chuli came smelly but otherwise healthy. Jose` turned out to be very large for a Chihuahua and still has semi floppy ears. They both have stupendous temperaments.

Anyhow....in 8 or 9 years things must have changed. AND....I am not sure about this. I'm in Seattle and I have my records at home so I can't be 100% sure, but I'm almost positive this is the same place. The kennel name sounds so familiar. The address in Snohomish is also absolutely familiar.

When I called her later to tell her that Jose` didn't look like a purebred Chi, she said, "He's a purebred, but could be a throw back. He's not show quality." And she would not give me back my $500.00 bucks. But she'd exchange him. Yeah, right.... I already was crazy about him.

Anyhow...this is in all the papers...the biggest bust in the area ever! Deplorable. She must have really launched into a big, huge business....more addresses even, than the one in Snohomish....like she had her family members doing it too.

Anyhow, when I got my dogs, they didn't live in conditions here described. In one blog I was reading, (not here, I don't think) someone was describing the little fenced area in the front yard with a doggie door into the puppy room. At that time, it was just a room....and there were definitely nothing near what they describe the numbers. There were maybe 2 or 3 litters of different ages. And it wasn't very dirty...a nice house and she appeared to love the dogs...very affectionate. OMG. She must have gotten greedier and greedier since I got the dogs. When I go back home....in a few weeks, I'll have to look at my records to be sure. But I tell you I'm 98% sure it's the same name. This is just so pathetic and sick. How can anyone treat animals like this?

This is just one of many of the puppy mills where the dogs live in deplorable conditions. Educating people and having peaceful protests at puppy mills and pet stores that sell puppies is the only way they will get shut down or be forced to close because no one is buying.

Don't ever be duped about a puppy store trying to say they get there dogs from reputable breeders because quite simply why would a reputable breeder sell their dogs to a pet store for a few hundred when they get 1000 and up selling themselves. Reputable breeders do not sell to pets stores period.
