That's where knowing your dog comes into play. I showed Terra when she was in her first heat cycle. Didn't know what to expect that time around, but she acted as though nothing was different, so I know that I will have no problem showing her while in heat in the future. There's a lot of training that goes into getting dogs ready for the ring, too. So even if they're not happy to see the other dogs, they're expected to ignore it.

Well, thanks! Now I know. I don't think we ever showed a bitch in heat, but I was small when we were doing confirmation . . . and the rest was working. I do remember Dad being frustrated when a couple of his best hounds were in heat and he had to leave them behind when he went to a competition. But that IS different, since part of it is off leash and there are LOTS of other off leash dogs around. Interesting.

I whont show Jazz when she's in heat. She can be iffy with DA when she is in heat, also she is a b!tch when she is in heat. She doesnt want to do anything during that time so why waste the entry fees
