It sounds alot like what Riley would do when his back was sore. He would normally jump with his front feet up on me when asked, but when his back hurt he would sit down and paw at me. I would deff. take him to a chiro, it Reallllly helped Riley!!

I agree that it sounds either like an upset stomach or pain somewhere.

Solo used to get similar symptoms whenever I'd feed him pork. Hunched up in obvious discomfort, but he'd end up vomiting.

My other thought today was I remembered that when it was happening a lot with his throwing up I was also fasting him a lot. And yesterday when it happened I hadn't fed him a lot because I was almost to the end of my raw and figured Didgie needed it more than him and he could wait for the other stuff to defrost.
This would make me almost positive it is a stomach cramping issue. Some dogs don't tolerate fasting well and some tend to have a hard time going even 24 hours between meals. I have had and known dogs who needed a snack in the morning or they would get sick to their stomach, vomit (often yellow bile), etc. If this is the case with Trav it's good news because there is an easy fix - feed him a small meal or snack in the morning. Hope that does the trick!

Just saw this! It has been a little while since you've posted this, but did you ever figure out what was causing him to do it? Poor Traveler!

Harleigh was acting like that (hunched up) a few months ago. Her issue was ongoing and she definitely was acting like herself at all, the vet diagnosed her with a strained back muscle/back spasms and after 2 weeks crate rest (don't know HOW I survived that) she was good to go. Thankfully we haven't had any relapses *knock on wood*

Hopefully Trav is back to new and hasn't had anymore issues! Poor guy :(
