So proud of my puppy! He was such a good little boy. We were walking back in the woods and came upon a biker. Sunny does this thing where he'll bark really loud a few times at a new person then rush up to them and roll on his back. I imagine it could be scary for someone who doesn't know my dog, since if you can't see him it sounds ferocious. Anyway, he saw the biker and did his bark and the guy turned tail and biked away as fast as possible. Poor Sunny, all he wanted to do was get a belly rub so he decided he should chase the guy and show him what he was supposed to do  He tore after the guy. I was nervous cuz this kid didn't look like someone who would understand my puppy jumping up on him to say hello, so I hollared "Sunny, LEAVE IT! COME!" and much to my amazement he stopped, turned around and looked at me like "awwww mom!" and huffed back to me where he rolled over for his belly rub :) He's done so well with his obediance training but this guy was a BIG temptation, I mean, a chance to run, meet a new person, and CHASE which is his biggest fun. I made sure I fished out a treat from my pocket right away and told him what a great boy he was. :)

Yeh-hoooooo Sunny! You must be proud. I know.....obedience training really pays off, doesn't it. I've had near situations which freaked me out and Lyric obeyed me, which prevented a problem. I was suprised and delighted. So, I know how you feel. Keep up the good practice.
