As most of you know I'm in Senoia,Ga right now w/ my dad. Well I just talked to my best friend on instant messanger ( who lives in Moultrie,Ga which is where my mom lives) and this past Tuesday (the 15th) at softball practice, her coach was hitting fly balls and when he hit one to her, she went to catch it and the sun got in her eye and the ball hit her in the left side of her head. So she had to go to the ER, and they found out she has a concusion, and now she can't go back and play ball for 2 weeks. I hope she will be ok. When she told me I feel to tears!!!!
Please Pray for her to be ok. Thanks

Hope your friend is ok! I know first hand about sport related injuries. I keep a first aid box in my car for those same things. I have two girls in soccer, taylor being the more active one, Ashley in Basketball and Soccer in the fall, Melissa plays field hockey. AND I still refused to be called Soccer Mom or the like. My three girls who should have been boys get a kick how I keep refusing to be labled. I watch the games and when Taylor gets shoved and falls hard, elbowed in the stomache and or face, or gets hit in the face with a soccer ball, I hold my breath and try NOT to run out on the field (which by the way is the worse thing a parent can do according to Taylor) I just sit there and say She's OK She's OK ... right? LOL

Again, hope your friend is doing better and i'll be thinking of her!

Thank u... interesting story. I played soccer in 6th grade (going to 9th now) and I got called names and pushed. We had practice one time and our goaly had to do a goal kick, and she kicked it straight to my face and it left the WHOLE left side of my face red and I had a soccer ball print on my face for about 3 hours!! It hurt. Now I play softball, and I['ve been hit w/ a softball too.
Thanks again and tell your girls I said good luck on their games!!!

Hit in the face in practice! lol that stinks. Taylor's been called names too. Only amongst the clicky group, but she's been playing in this particular league for a few seasons (fall and spring) and indoor during the winter for about two years now and she's gained 'squatters rights" lol She'll shove it right back to them.

Thanks for your good lucks! I'll be sure to let them know. We have a cool off period now over the summer until September *whew* lol

Thanks Barb and avenlee. Ok avenlee, and it did suck to get hit in the face. In 6th grade my JV soccr team had to play against V team, as a practice game, and I was stopped or whatever they call it now the position in front of goaly. And there was this preppy blonde haired girl and she called me a B**** and I kicked her in the shin and she bled, I got in some trouble. But make sure u tell the girls.
