I've noticed lately that Mia has a spot on her nose that isn't black. It was not there before but I'm not sure when it showed up. I'm not sure what it is, any ideas? You can see it in this pic:

She might have scratched it on something. I think her pigment is too nice and dark for it to be the beginnings of a snow nose.

I was going to say the same thing--I noticed Baxter has a mark similar to that, and pretty sure it's from the boys wrestling matches!

My friend's golden's nose changed from black to pink over the course of about a year. It was the weirdest thing. The vet said it was called Dudley nose and was just something that happens to some dogs.

Ollie's nose turned pink last winter and didn't get his pigment back this summer . Aren't Dudley noses pink from puppyhood on ?

Yeah, dudley is pink/liver pigmentation on the whole face. Eyerims, nose, and lips all are liver and that's basically from birth, not something that happens.

I'd say it's a scratch from something. Just keep an eye on it so you can tell when it goes away or if it spreads.

I'm highly doubtful this is it, but a lady I knew had an Aussie who developed vitiglio and it started with one little patch and then spread.

Laur it looks like she scratched it on something or when the girls where wrestling. Ivan had the tinyest dot on his nose from Cleo and Peewee has quite the pink stripe from a cat claw on his. Like Zoom said just keep an eye on it. But as small as it is, it should go away, Ivans went away after 4 months or so. It doesn't look like a snow nose to me, its much to bright of a pink. Snow noses tend to start out looking like someone took an eraser to their nose and its not pink like that.

Considering the things the little one is doing (flying and all), I'd agree that it's probably a scratch. I've had those before on my dogs and they healed and the new healthy nose flesh was black.

Victor's nose has changed so many colors, snow nose or not. IT use to be darker and now it is lighter. Also where he had his infection on his muzzle is incredibly lighter. Fingers crossed it gets darker with time. Like us they get road damage too.
