Does anyone else watch "Alpha Dogs" on the National Geographic Channel? I had never heard if it, but ran across it late last night while trying to get to sleep.

Saw the commercials for it a while ago, but only watched the first two episodes. Not really sure right now what to think of it. I really didn't like the dog biting his first new handler, they really didn't give the new handler good enough instructions on how to handle a dog in that situation prier if you ask me, that could have been avoided.

Watched the first episode, have the others recorded.

I liked watching the dogs but could have dealt without all the people drama. I don't care about your son, or your arm or this or that or watching you all sit around and bask in your testosterone.

I want to see dog training.

Couldn't agree more! That is what kills a show for me most, every time, it's one of the reason I don't watch any of animal planet any more.

The Canadian natgeo wild doesn't carry the show. I was interested to see it too but now I can't. Boo! It is a tv show so don't expect it to be anything more. People and other drama will come with the territory unfortunately!

Hey now. I love Duck Dynasty. LOL. I have lots of family from and in West Monroe. :p

I didn't see anything "bad" about the show in the episode I watched (I thought it was cool to see a Cocker Spaniel doing cadaver work and a pit bull doing explosive detection work amidst the Malinois and Shepherds). But it seems some people are up in arms because they use choke collars at times and do employ "negative" methods in addition to positive methods/rewards.
