His info didn't type in! LOL

He's a card, he's a 22 year old whose owner passed on, he's not too good with being handled as his owner was afraid but he's getting better... His vocabulary is amazing and I truly adore these birds.. I hope to get a young grey again as well but prefer rehomes and young birds being rehomed are rare but I am always watching

Teach him to sing!! He's really pretty. I feel like he should be addressed as Mr. Grumpy.

My dad's friend had an African Gray and one time we watched him at our house for a week while the friend was away. He was in the basement utility room where our big freezer is. My sister and I would go down there and get popsicles out of the freezer, and the popsicle company was running a promotion where if you had a popsicle stick that said "TRIP" on it, you won a trip to Florida. So my sister and I would eat our popsicles talking about how we hoped to find a "trip stick." (and never did of course, haha.)

The bird went back to his owner saying "Trip stick! Trip stick!" And of course this made no sense to my dad's friend, so he called wondering why we taught the bird to say "dipstick?" Oops, LOL.

Moral of the story... watch what you say around the bird. Even if it just sounds like it MIGHT be bad, LOL. Maybe don't teach him to say "duck."

LOL I can just picture that! He yells Yummy YUMMY YUMMY! When we eat anything..... It's hilarious! He also knows what's in the timbit donut box from Tim Hortons, and if he sees a Tim's box... He flaps about calling Timbits for the Timneh!!!! (He's a Timneh African Grey)

He's recently discovered that the bowls in his cage are "replacement" stainless bowls that don't fit snug, and takes great pleasure in dumping them out and then banging them on his cage like a prisoner does in jail!!! Sigh!

Congrats on your new TAG. He is adorable. My friend has a CAG who is so good at saying many words.

We have a galah cockatoo. Vocabulary isn't as many numbered as a grey but ours is a talker. Big time. He doesn't scream but he talks so much and makes sound effects too. He is the goofiest clown :p

Parrots are cool. Check out this parrot forum if interested in learning more about them and interracting with parrot owners: http://forums.avianavenue.com/forum.php

I actually removed the dishes that came with his cage shortly after getting the cage years and years ago. He'd always dump his water and food and just make noise and mess. He eats in crock dishes on the bottom now, lol
