Hi all,

What a great forum! Comet is an only dog at present and he loves it that way - he's been busy adapting to our new lifestyle living out of an RV and traveling the western US. Didn't take him long to figure out that our current location is jackrabbit chasing heaven!

He's mostly Shepherd, we think. Not sure about the rest - kind of looks like a fox got in there somewhere...

Thanks to all of you for your welcome.

Comet gets a lot of compliments on his looks... (Not sure what he thinks of people exclaiming, "What a pretty dog!" though). We maintain, "handsome is as handsome does"...

He is wearing a backpack in the photo - we're in what's known as the Colorado Desert in southern California right now and it gets hot midday while we're hiking so we have Comet carry his own water.

So far this lifestyle has been interesting. Like the housekeeping simplicity, being able to be in a warmer area in the winter and exploring new places. On the downside, gets rather cramped and you can't block outside noise as easily as in a house and I'll miss having a garden. But I've heard you can't have everything, at least not all at once!
