These are cell phone pics, so I apologize for the quality....

First, our new guy (not sure if he is actually a "he" yet)---his name is Yoda and he is a young Quaker parrot. Just as an aside, I realize that he needs a bigger cage long term and will be getting a huge one in the next few months. However, right now we are still in the process of him getting used to us and I don't want to put him in a big cage until he is more comfortable with our hands.

Nomming one of his toys--he LOVES this toy and cuddles against it at night and systematically destroys it during the day....

Gutting his penguin pinata toy--he evidently has little regard for his fellow avians, especially when they had dried papaya bits stuffed inside them via a hole in their back.....

One of the white winged parakeets, Pickles and Kiwi. They are sisters and VERY hard to get pics of since they are pretty much constantly moving. In this pic they are perplexed by me setting up the hamster cage....

They are lovely!!

we used to have a quaker! Boy was he LOUD! lol They are wild all over the city so they had to communicate with their wild cousins..usually at around 5 in the morning lol

Lol do you have a thing for green or are they just a coincidence? lol

I used to work for a lady who was into bird rearing. She had 20 quakers. OMG the noise. My ears bleed just thinking about it. lol

Anyway, cute photos. Everyone looks just ducky :)

Lovely birds! My aunt used to have parrots - all sorts, African greys, macaws, etc. - and some smaller birds... I loved interacting with them! I gave up the hopes of having a bird of my own looong ago, with the dogs and whatnot... but I still adore them!
