A few weeks ago, this little guy arrived from North Carolina! I co-own him with a friend (who also owns one of Bukra's brothers) and he lives with her... but I get to see him almost every weekend, and he'll be spending time with me on the ranch here pretty soon!

His call name is Sabah, which means morning (oh, and he's a Saluki) :)

On the day he arrived...

Last weekend...

Thank you :) I'm not a puppy person, so I have no problem with him living somewhere else! lol His co-owner gets to raise him (she loves puppies) and I get to show/handle him.. it's a perfect situation!

I will have to admit, Fila puppies pretty much ruined me for dealing with "normal" puppies, lol.

Although Tallulah, now that she's grown out of all the puppyness, well, I catch myself wishing I'd had her when she was still a baby puppy  and I KNOW better!

He's a beauty! I love the fur on his ears. Salukis (and sighthounds in general I think) sure change a lot from puppy to adult.

Soooo cute. I love Salukis, they're so noble looking. The ones I've met all carry themselves with such, I dunno, pride. Like they know they're well bred. :)

Love love LOVE!!!!!

This is another one of my want breeds. Getting my Ibizan next, but still debating on another sighthound breed to eventually add to my household. It's so hard to decide on breeds when they are all so amazing. And Omg Salukis are so gorgeous.

Thanks yall! :)

misfitz - they're very stuck up! LOL They know they are royalty and everyone else are just peasants!

skittledoo - I know you said you found a breeder to get a beezer from, but there are two litters happening near me in the near future if your other breeder falls through! lol. Salukis and Ibizans are so different from each other... Ibizans are strange, strange sighthounds! Don't get me wrong, I love them! They just don't quite fit into the group haha

He is gorgeous! I think I am totally not the right person to own a sighthound, but I think Salukis are are by far one of the prettiest breeds out there.

Gah! I am in love! I have a constant case of Saluki want. All the fun of an Afghan hound with a quarter of the work grooming wise. One day.....one day!

What a gorgeous pup and I love his name, too!
Look at that face and those ears! LOVE. <3

If I didn't really, really want a dog to be as easy to teach to be good off-leash as possible, I'd be alllllll over a sighthound. I'd love a Saluki, as well as a greyhound, Beezer, Zoi, or Pharaoh Hound.
