So, Jess and I took a trip to Beth's today (Beth is the FRSO president and the unofficial ferret rescue headquarters) with the furkids to meet and greet some fosters and decide who was coming home.

I knew I wanted one of the new male surrenders. The FRSO got ten intact male ferrets from a research facility in Montreal a few weeks ago. They only had blood draws, and were healthy and good for adoption. The rescue had them neutered on Friday, and this week they were starting to be adopted out to new homes. They are all HUGE, dark sables, and gorgeous.

The trio in the car, ready for the road trip!

When we got downstairs to the ferret rescue, the cage was greeted very enthusiastically!

Here's one of the big research boys. He was turned down for my home because he bullied Porom pretty badly.

This is Wheels. She's a new surrender, and very unsure of the world around her. She's tiny and adorable, but won't be up for adoption for a little while, not until she gains some confidence.

Porom (pink collar) and Renegade (black collar) explore the playroom with their new friends.

Jess with her new babygirl, Harley! (her name will be changed - last I heard Jess was leaning towards Sadie)

Harley is one of the ferrets I shared photos of a little while back - she had the growth on her tail which was removed, resulting in a bit of a stubby tail. She's bounced back flawlessly, and is an active little girl! Jess is excited to have her very first jill.

This big boy, #654 (they were called by their tag numbers for the time being), really liked Porom, despite being a bit inappropriate with his greeting, haha.

And he really wormed his way into my heart too, that little #654.

...so, he came home with Porom and I! Introducing Experiment 654, codename "Barrett"!

Size-wise, he's an absolute monster. In this pic, you can also see the ear notch where his tag was removed, and his shaved neck from the blood draw.

He has the most adorable teddy bear face. And dark nose. And and <3

Me and my disgruntled little tube-shaped grizzly bear. :p

More pics will follow soon! He had a busy day and I didn't want to over do it. He's napping in the cage now. Welcome home, Barrett!

They're all so cute. I really like the name Barrett, too.

Maybe one day, I'll have some ferrets.

So excited! Just got home and cuddled with Harley :) So I am thinking her name may stay the same... everybody here likes it. And when I mentioned Sadie... well... even though she is MINE, it was pretty much vetoed lol

How are they all getting along? I *really really* am considering a retired breeder ferret from a breeder down in Columbus. The size difference makes me nervous, though :p because of course I want a big ole male!! :D

Omigosh, he is just too cute! :D

I was offered a retired breeder male and female pair from a cowoker...I would have taken the male in a heartbeat (HUGE, dark black sable), but he didn't want to split the pair and the female would have been way too much for my two to handle (as she is very physical and will bite HARD and not let go when she plays).

But you make me want to get another fert! *stops looking at oodles of ferret cuteness*
