Here's Panda at almost 7 weeks. I'll be getting her pretty soon. Yay! She's too cute

And I love her sister!

She's adorable! Very cute.

I'm like 98% sure the ears should stand naturally. Some lines have weaker ear cartilage than others. Even in my breed a lot of 7 week old puppies don't have prick ears. Zen's ears didn't go up fully until almost 4 months, and even then weren't solid until 6 months. I know he's an ACD, but still, a prick-eared breed.

I think it's becoming more like shelties, crested breeders will post the ears, or shave ear hair or both instead of giving the ears a chance to do it on their own. Some breeders don't post/tape/use moleskin until they see a problem.

I had no idea about the ears either. You do learn something new everyday. I would have sworn I wouldn't like Crestie puppies but OMG...so cute!

No, their ears have to be taped. A lot of the time even after having their ears taped they don't stand.

She is really cute Pam, you must be really excited.

That little puffer girl is so adorable. I hope that she finds a good home. Does she have an underbite? Her pic looks exactly like Root did when he was a wee one. Almost like her lips are pursed ready to bark, but too relaxed for it to be the case.

(NOT trying to stir up crap. I am just honestly curious. We all know how I have a soft spot for underbites)

Cute!
Do you know why the puffs ears arent posted? (just curious)
I don't know. Maybe she just hasn't started them yet? I would think they would be done, too. I know some standards allow the powder puffs to have drop ears. I think they look cuter with the floppy ears when they are in full coat but when cut in a pony cut, the erect ears look better

I think it's the norm to tape their ears. I know a litter I was looking at a few years ago, the breeder said they would be taped.

I didn't notice anything with her bite, but I wouldn't have noticed what you mentioned so maybe there is. I don't know

Yep, I've been talking quite a bit with a breeder in pa with hopes to get a puppy from her next summer and she has sent me pictures of her current litters. She tapes ALL of their ears, and she is a well known responsible breeder. She is also the one who told me that she has a hard time finding homes for the powder puffs because everyone seems to want a hairy hairless female.

I think she does have a little underbite, which makes me want her. She is just gorgeous!

ETA: I kept on racking my brain trying to figure out what was different about Panda, and now I have it! Foxy trimmed her up! lol I can't believe it took me so long.

She is so adorable! I love her little face.

I also love the spots on the male in the blue collar. He's gonna be handsome when he grows up.

She is so so cute! She's a hairy hairless, right? How often do you have to clip the HH dogs? Just curious. I've always loved Cresties.
