Daisy finished her 1st OB class a couple weeks ago. It was a small class in an indoor facility. She was the only pup, the other dogs were all 18 months or older. On Saturday while at class with Gunnar, I asked the trainer when their next beginner class started, as we were interested in getting Daisy into another class. He says "I have one starting Monday, right here. You can come for free if you want, I have 10 dogs and one more isn't a problem"

So we get a free class! It'll be good for Daisy, it's a large outdoor area, there will be a bunch of new dogs and distractions, and a lot more fun than being in a small room with only a couple dogs.

We went last night, but it had been cancelled due to rain. One other owner showed up, with a 5 month old lab, so we let them play for a while. I was impressed with Daisy's recall. I went to the other side of the area, and would call her and she'd come running, then my wife would call her back, and she'd go running the other way. She was listening to sit and stay commands even with the other dog running around her- so she's off to a good start!

Fantastic! That is really nice for that trainer to offer the next class for free! It sounds like you two are having a great time....so good for Daisy and you. Way to go!

I take these classes off! My wife is the one who takes Daisy. Apparently I'm too much of a distraction for the baby girl :)

I'll go the 1st time since my wife isn't real familiar with the trainer, but once she's comfy, I'll use their absence as some good quiet time for me!

I'm so glad for Daisy. She must love her daddy very much to get distracted by him.

:) I don't know why! But she'll keep looking over at me and whining. Maybe in this class since its in a big area, she won't do it.
