Hello, I'm looking to get a puppy.
I've been looking at some Shih-Tzu puppies and they are adorable.
But I've noticed that when they get older, their hair gets very long.
If I trim it's hair to keep it short, will it look as cute as it did when it was a puppy? I just, really don't like that long haired look, but when it's a baby and it's hair is shorter, it's so cute. If any of you know of other types of dogs that stay fairly small throughout their life and are cute, please let me know. I was just wondering if i would be able to trim a Shih-Tzu like that and still have it look adorable.

Thanks.. :)

Yeah, I love pugs too. I read that pugs get sick very easily though, is this true? I was pretty sure that I was going to get a pug, but then I saw some pictures of some Shih-Tzu puppies and I got hooked. lol
I'm still thinking about getting a pug instead though.
Oh, I searched, but I couldn't find any pictures of westys. I found some sites that said a little about them but I couldn't see what they looked like. :(
Thanks for your reply! :)

If you do get a Shih-Tzu, you can take it to a groomer and ask for a "Puppy Cut." They will know what you mean. It makes the dog look identical to when it was a pup! This is the most often requested look I get for people's dogs. Shih-Tzus are wonderful dogs. The "Imperial Dogs." I love them and their popularity is quickly rising.

Just had to input here: When you buy your pup, make sure you DON'T buy from a Petstore, or you most likely will have an unhealthy pup from a puppymill.
And Shih Tzus are prone to heatstroke in stuffy/humid conditions too.

But good luck with your new pup! (Whenever you get her! :D lol)

I'm getting my Shih_Tzu from a breeder. I'm not buying it at a store. And yes I'm trying to get a puppy. I'll hopefully have one in a few days. :)

I and my brother we help homeless dogs.
But place rented by us, not it is enough for an dogs.
But as the homeless dogs are added frequently, and this place becomes less and less, we want to rent larger place,
and to employ the additional personnel.
We shall accept from you any financial help.
