Well we finally have gotten kieran under controll and are about ready to move into our new home set on 3 acres of open land. We always wanted a bulldog but for the past few years i have been really fond of rottwielers. So my fiancee comprimised. I can get a rotti if ill let her get a lapdog.

I guess thats ok. I hate most of them, but im sure we can find one i like. So far the only toy breed that i like is the Italian Greyhound.

Now im not big on smaller breeds, so this may sound stupid, but what i really want is a dog, that looks like a puppy, and stays that way. Like Huskie puppy that never grows lol. I know it may sound stupid but i dont know my **** when it comes to this. Are there any minitures or anything you guys could recommend.

Thanks

You need to research behavior to see if it's what you want, but the Alaskan Klee Kai looks like a miniature Husky. They're small but sturdy.

Yes there are the Alaskan Klee Kais but they are not for the faint of heart! I''m personally not a fan of them but they can do well with the right owners. What about a Pomeranian? Or maybe a miniature Eskimo Spitz?

I recomend a miniature american eskimo, min pin, pug, and pomeranian.

Pug looks like a mini mastiff.

I would recommend something sturdier than an IG or MinPin with a Rottweiler.

Smooth Fox Terrier, Standard Manchester, one of the larger Bostons, or maybe a mini or standard Schnauzer.

Wouldnt those breeds be a little large for a "lap dog"? What do you mean by "sturdier" with a rottie? Just curious...

Gate.... what does your girlfriend mean by "lap dog"? What size range?

What about a Sheltie, Schipperke, Jack Russel, Corgi, Keeshound, Cocker Spaniel?
Schipperke would be a great fit.

Not sure if a cocker or keeshound would be considered a lap dog.

pomeraninans look like puppies all the time lol, :)
I completely agree. Poms are wonderful little dogs. They need a fair bit of brushing but they look like a puppy and act like one too!
