Nature Variety Raw

I was thinking about putting my dogs on the Nature's Variety Raw food. Anyone here have anopinion one way or the other on that brand of food?

I fed it and my dogs did very well with it. It's a high quality brand.

we have tried the Chicken & Turkey and the beef one. The Chicken and Turkey seemed to be more liked. We were trying Timberwolf, but we are going back to raw medallions.

We went to the Rhode Island Pet Expo a couple of weekends ago. While we were there we ran into the Nature's Variety folks and got some samples. The dogs loved the samples.

We have heard so many good things about raw diets. The real thing I was concerned about was the cost so I started making cooked meals at home. After it was all said and done the cost was not that much cheaper to do the home made and it did not have the benefits of the raw food, namely the bone and organs.

i have been feeding NV raw for over a month now and the dogs love it and are doing very well on it. I did start out feeding Timberwolf in mornings and the NV raw at night. I am thinking I want to just feed the raw even though the TWO is a very good food. i recommend it. I have been using the chubs lately even though both my dogs are under 20 lbs, I actually saw the 2 lb. chubs in half with my husbands saw, but it more economical, then I put one half back into freezer and feed the other half which will feed them for a day and a half. I got it on sale at Complete Petmart for only about $3.50. The chicken/turkey and beef go on sale about once a month from $9.98 for 3 lbs. to only $7.49. The dogs scarf down the lamb, ch/turkey and the beef. Have not tried the other varietys, they are more exspensive. Tatum

My dog was on the NV frozen raw before I became comfortable with making my own. It's a great food but is EXPENSIVE if you have a large, fast metabolism dog. I was spending $100-$150 a month to feed just my Greyhound!!! Luckily before I got the other two I started making my own. Far cheaper. Now it's more like $80-$100 a month to feed all 3 large breed, fast metabolism dogs!
