Jackson Browne has been vomiting lately. At first I thought he might have chewed on something that made him sick. The day before yesterday, he vomited several times. He has been very lethargic, and not following me around the house like he usually does.

My husband took him to the vet this morning, and he is still there. They are running a bunch of tests on him right now.

He has a really irregular heart beat, and I'm concerned about that. I'm also worried that he might have some sort of obstructiom.

Please keep Jackson Browne in your thoughts & prayers. I don't know what I would do it I lost him, especially with the loss of Abby this week already.

Thanks,
Dena

Hope all goes well with JB. Your in my thoughts. Please keep us posted. It may just be a virus or reacting to your sorrow over Abby.

Just don't over-react until you know :)

I just got a call from my husband, and Jackson Browne's xrays looked good...no obstruction. Thank God for that!!! They did some lab work, and the results from those will be back tomorrow. We are to feed him a diet of white rice and chicken broth for a while. The vet is going to call me later and tell me what she thinks about his irregular heart beat.

I'll keep you all posted.

Dena, the chicken breast and some broth is a good idea. The broth will help keep him from getting dehydrated. You might want to shred the chicken breast or cut it into small bites and just feed it to him a little at a time to keep him from overeating and starting the vomiting again. If you can get him to eat a little ginger it will help with nausea, but hopefully that part is over.

I'll be thinking of all of you. Keep us posted. You know we're fretting right along with you.

Dena,

So glad to hear that there was no obstruction. Will be keeping you & Jackson Browne in my prayers... and will be watching for an update.
