I'd take him to the vet and have them looked at. Kokomo had really dirty ears. He'd scratch at them and whine. Took him to the vet and sure enough....I cant remember what the vet said it was. It wasnt mites. Gave him some ear drops and his ears are clean and doing fine.

Ears

Well, as long as it isnt ear rot or somthing really bad, I am not going to rush it down there.
Mix some vinegar and alcohol 50-50. First put a few drops of peroxide into the ear, and squish the ear around at the bottom near the head. Let the dog shake (be sure to duck when he does). Then dip a Q-Tip into the vinegar/alcohol mixture, and clean the ears out. Clean in and around every groove in the ear, and especially along the channel that runs up the outer edge of the ear.

And be very gentle. It does not take much rubbing for an ear to become irritated.
