Hi! I want to know if anyone has any ideas on why my dog snaps (close to biting me) when I touch his back legs? He is 2 years and he has been like this since he was a baby dog. Also if he is laying under me for an extending time (say I have my feet on the coffee table) when I get up to move he growls or snaps if I move too quick. Other than this he is not aggressive. I did a lot of handling him when he was little. I have no problem approaching him when he is eating, playing with toys, even bones but he snaps when I go near his behind or back legs. What could be the problem and what do I do???

Maybe it is time for a vet check up to see if there is a medical problem. That is what I would do first.

See if you can find a chiropractic vet. A simple spinal adjustment may be all that is needed.
