Hurray for Murray! I just wanted to share this with all of you: Murray got his 2nd heartworm treatment today and they x-rayed his heart to see if it had been damaged and it wasn't. Hurray! He took the treatment very well, had to spend the day at the vets to be sure he didn't go into shock. But the vet said everything looks great, he just has to return in 3 weeks to make sure the worms are gone and then he'll start the Heartgard. Of course, he still has to be "kept quiet" but I'm so relieved that his wonderful heart wasn't damaged.

The vet and his assistant kept telling us what a wonderful dog Murray is, they really liked him. They said we were lucky to find him. I know that!! :D

Thanks Fran and Barb,
I'm just so happy. I was really worried about him. When I dropped him off at the vet, they started to lead him away and he looked at me with such a startled expression. It was like he was saying "oh no, I thought you were going to be my forever home". I looked into his eyes and said "I will be back for you". I really do believe they can understand heartfelt messages from us. Now, he's laying at my feet. My beautiful Murray.
