She is a lovely loppy...do many of them have blue eyes or is that a unique trait for her? Do you litterbox train..i have heard of people that made that work...does she have the run of the house? Do the dogs play with her? we had a large white rabbit before my son was old enough to appriciate his being there..he was quite a character, but had a romantic attraction for Aaron's stuffed animals....he got along with everyone tho...when I had to leave (not by choice) i couldn't take the whole zoo with me so i found a home for him..he was the nicest rabbit i ever knew...the one i did get for my son later was mean from the get go. What is your rabbit's personality like? She looks very sweet (as to the last bunny we found looks can be deceiving!) i am so happy you got her.

LOL Lots of questions. Most of my rabbits are pretty good about using the litter box. They have one in each cage. Chiclet (the little black and white one in my sig) is the WORST with her litter box. She pees wherever she wants. :( Naughty bunny.

They do each have their own personalities. Piggy hates to be picked up. Most rabbits do unless they are handled a lot and have that personality. But all of mine like head pets. Niblet licked me on occasion which is the ultimate acceptance.

If they are fixed, which they should be, they are much easier to handle and they use their litter box way better. Mine aren't because of $$$ and I'm worried that they will die like Niblet.

Piggy is a nibbler though. She nips me all the time. Never breaks skin. I think she's trying to train me. LOL She's funny though.

I'm bonding the three of them. I let them out together in the basement. It's going ok. Piggy and Mika are the toughest and chase each other around. Lost a few tufts of hair each. After Mika got Piggy inline Chiclet jumped in and had her say. LOL I worry about chiclet because she is only 2.2 pounds. But she's pretty tough.

Maverick is ok with the bunnies but I don't trust mikey at all. He's not allowed near them. We tried to let him see them but he sat whining and licking his lips. So no more. I'm not risking it.

They don't have run of the house. If I lived on my own and didn't have dogs ... I would love that but it's just not possible.

I don't know if blue eyes is a trait. She has one blue and one brown eye. It's quite unusual. :)

have you checked with the vet school near you? There might be one..hard to trust newbies..but i have to trust me to the student hospital and miracles of miracles i am still here. Just an idea..i couldn't have my dogs if i didn't have the humane society here. They only charged me 40 dollars or right around that for Mary's eye surgery and that included her arthritis med and her eye ointment as well. I tried so hard to make friends with the rabbit my daughter brought...only loose in the yard would she come up to be stroked..even took honeygrahams out of my fingers (i only let her have few) but once i put her in the cage..she would try to take me apart. I was essentially rabbit sitting for one year.she went back to the owner but my daughter said she wasn't any nice there. I think your loppy is lovely and thank you for answering my inquitive mind!

LOL Yeah. Rabbits can sure be moody. Sounds like she wanted to be friends with you on her terms though! Piggy hates being picked up. I rarely pick any of them up but piggy is not that food oriented and the other girls are. That's how I get them back in their cages after they go for their run (for hours and hours LOL) Chiclet and Mika know it's dinner time and run right back in but piggy will run all over the room before running back to her cage. Sometimes I try to catch her but it's such an ordeal! I try not to go in their cages too much as it's their private area and they feel safe in their. Kind of like a dog kennel I guess. Never thought of it that way. :D I just go in to clean once or twice a week depending.

Yup One blue and One brown. Each eye has a different expression too. I guess because of the colour. :D

I had a rabbit growing up named Crocket. Would have loved to get one for my daughter, but with our cat, I decided not to. So, she settled for her Russian Turtle, Benjamin :)
