ok we've determined or I should say I've determined that the Natural Balance may be a good choice for Ginger. Now does it matter that I always have food available for her?? At supper time, I then give them each a bit of soft food that I could give to her from Natural Balance as well. I started giving her the soft food after we were done eating because when I first got her, she would sit between my hubby and I and beg now she lays down and waits for her soft food she knows shes going to get. So question is...is it ok to free feed the Natural Balance kibles and then give her a bit of the Natural balance can??? I also saw some kind of roll what is that all about??

I mix canned with the kibble at each meal. So, yes it's good to give both!

The rolls, I think, are more often used as treats cause you can cut it into small pieces. It's just a treat that is soft and moist and as healthy as food!

sure... What I'm not sure about, though, is the free-feeding. I've heard that it's not the best for dogs, but I don't know why. If your dogs are the right weight with the free feeding, I don't see what would be bad about it.

I could never leave dog food out for Hudson. He would look like the goodyear blimp! :)

Smokey gets Natural Balance Kibble in the morning with about 2 Tablespoons of NB canned mixed in. I change up the flavors of the canned for variety every can or so. In the evening I give her straight NB kibble. Another thing you might want to try is getting a NB Roll and take a couple of slices of it and chop it up and mix it with the kibble. They love that. You can also use small pieces of the roll to put in a Kong toy. You can make the slices any size you want to control how easy it is for your dog to get the pieces out of the Kong..
