I know some don't think this is a big deal, but honestly? It just keeps coming and coming.... 2007 all over again? I dunno, but I just don't trust anything made by Diamond at this point in time. Yes I am glad they are recalling it, but when will it end? Hopefully this issue is taken care of soon as this is a lot of recalls in less than 2-3 months time.

For me, it's not so much the recalls... it's their communications on the issue. Third recall in a month and you still can't give a public statement for pet stores to tell their customers? Stay classy, Diamond.

Many reputable companies have recalls sometimes. Remember that these recalls are all being discovered as part of the inspection following the initial recall, so I wouldn't call them separate instances. It's how they handle the recall that dictates how I deal with them.

Very true. One recall here and there doesn't particularly bother me so much, but you're right, it's how it's being dealt with that rubs me the wrong way. I did not like what I heard about how everything was handled in 2007 either with them, so now it just makes me doubt them even more.

Thanks for the info. My biggest concern is if the salmonella is getting past them, what else could get past them? I don't consider salmonella to be a huge deal, at least for dogs, but mold/aflatoxin and other things worry me.

Ya cricket has been eating Fromm now for a while and I'm in the process of switching Bamm off Diamond/Kirkland and onto Fromm as well. I'm so done with Diamond foods.

This!

When Nature's Variety and Primal had their raw recalls they issued statements and gave info to our stores on how to handle it IMMEDIATELY. Nature's Variety let us know immediately WHAT they were doing to rectify the situation and make sure it wasn't going to happen again (started using HPP)

Hell, Primal CALLED our store at 7:30 at night! Not only did they email everyone as soon as they knew, but a person from the company literally called EVERY store that carried their product and had them checking date codes.
They didn't lose any of their regular customers at our store. Can't say the same for Diamond.
