    The chip does lead to Avid, and they'd at least get my vet's number from that. But there are plenty of universal look-up sites, and most people tend to google chip numbers now instead of calling the number on the scanner.

    They're registered with a couple others, too, but AKC and Avid are the only ones I paid for.

    If they are, that would be awesome. If we do end up overseas, I really didn't want to have to chip the dogs again.

    Yea at a staff meeting once I was all "OMG GUYS THERE'S THIS UNIVERSAL MICROCHIP LOOK UP SITE" and they (very diplomatically) told me that was the one they were all already using. :/
