It appears that there were many people who believed MJ sounded "different" on his last album (the one released after his death). Well, according to MJ's daughter, Paris, he did NOT sing those songs. A MJ sound-alike, Jason Malachi, was the voice of "Michael".

Oh man. This will devastate so many fans. The whole situation is just so weird, I don't think we'll ever know the complete truth.

I just broke the news to my husband. I think he's having a meltdown! Lol. I've never been an MJ fan, but he's a huuuuge one.

I read that on tmz. :(

I don't get it, there is even a duo with Akon. So either he was in on it too, or at least that one song is legit.

It's entirely possible for one artist to do one half, the other to do the other half at another time, and then they are combined using software. Akon didn't have to know. Which is sad. I wonder how he feels about that?

Yeah, I find the whole duets when the singers are apart thing a little weird. I guess it is easier for the artists, but I would think that having the two of them together would make the song sound much more authentic, so they can play off of one another's sound and emotion.

I'm not an MJ fan, haven't even heard that CD even, but I just find this to be disgusting, honestly. Why not just release a tribute album? Stop being so damned money hungry. Music executives, all of that, make me sick. The lying and exploitation for money is pathetic, considering how much they actually go on to give artists vs keeping for themselves. It's no surprise then why they shut down megaupload/megavideo with the news of them moving to release a program where money would be given directly to the artists.

I youtubed the supposed stand-in. He sounds freakishly almost identical to MJ. O_O

I'm a HUGE MJ fan and I had kind of guessed this since it came out. I did think SOME of the songs were legit though. There was one that was definitely him, because a version had been released before he even died ... and yeah, the one with Akon seems odd too, because that one was apparently leaked back in 2008 or something, and that's why MJ never released it.
